CYCLING SEASON IN MALLORCA IS NOW!
Our guests know that Alaró is an ideal base for cyclists because of its geographical location near the mountains of Tramuntana.
Lonely roads and country lanes lead you through incomparably beautiful landscapes between little villages on the island, where you can enjoy the culture and hospitality of the Majorcans.
Springtime offers perfect months for cycling, starting with the blossom of the almond trees in February until May when the whole island flourishes, and autumn is ideal for cycling too. But also in wintertime the most important European bike-teams use the island as a training camp because of its perfect conditions.
Mallorca is fascinating, it has a wonderfully diverse natural environment, a perfect climate and it offers the best possible conditions for bicycle rides and professional sportsmen. Mallorca offers a road network with a total length of 1,250km, 675 km of which are secondary roads with an average width of 6.50mts.
While the big bike-sport groups meet in Alcudia and in Playa de Palma, the cyclist in Alaró can enjoy the silence in small groups.
“Starting our ride in Alaró, taking all the back roads across the Island! My tour guide and host of the hotel knows where to go to find those secret back roads! I’ll take you along a hitten gem through a forest to get to the base of the Randa climb!”
Jasper Verkuijl, Nederland.
